Hand knotted in naturally luminous silk, the distinctly wide ivory and red border features depictions of wolves with floral tails, surrounded by palmettes and other scenes of nature with a unique, mint green accent in the finely woven floral imagery. It is especially unique, even in contemporary homages, to see canid depictions without other animals being featured in the portrait, as is the focus of imagery throughout the asymmetric border over the curvilinear, smaller red field design.
