Impressive hand painted monochrome wooden owl with large 3D pupils and highly detailed eye playe. Made of several wood blocks fused together. Unsigned, it is likely of Mexican origin and is consistent with Alebrije style of Oaxacan artisans who combine combine abstract impressionism with natural animal forms.
