Hand-carved circa 1850, the form of this bleached drop front secretary commode is distinctly Dutch (more specifically from what used to be Holland). The undulating and protruding sides sit atop wonderfully carved paw feet. Three tiers of drawers are aligned neatly beneath a drop-front writing section. When the writing surface is pulled down, the interior drawer system is revealed with a hidden compartment, a lockable door, and nine pull-out drawers.
