Classic and timeless Blue Danube “Blue Onion” pattern tea service, made in Japan under the highly respected Blue Danube Banner mark (1951–2000s). This iconic design is one of the most collected and recognized patterns in 20th-century dinnerware.
All pieces are in excellent vintage condition:
- No chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs
- Glossy white glaze with crisp, deep cobalt blue underglaze pattern
- Gold trim on handles, rims, and finial is bright with only the faintest, barely visible rubbing in a couple of spots (typical of light, careful use)
- Interiors are clean – no stains or discoloration
The Blue Danube mark is stamped on the bottom of each piece along with “Japan.” This is the original, high-quality Japanese production that collectors seek (not the later Lipper International versions).
Perfect for everyday use or display, afternoon tea, holiday tables, or completing your Blue Danube collection. The pattern mixes beautifully with other blue-and-white transferware, Spode Blue Room, Johnson Brothers, and classic white china.
Care: Hand washing recommended to preserve the gold accents. Not for microwave use.
Will be extremely carefully packed (double-boxed with plenty of padding) and shipped
A gorgeous, ready-to-use set that looks stunning on any table! Feel free to message for more photos or measurements. From a smoke-free, pet-free home.
