Such a classic style, this set consists … Read more Absolutely sublime set of vintage Baker Furniture English Regency Klismos style dining chairs. Such a classic style, this set consists of one arm chair and five side chairs. I'm not positive how old the chairs are, my guess is 1940's or 50's. They were vintage in the 1980's.

The silk damask seat upholstery is splitting in a few spots (mostly one chair) and there are light stains. It's time for the seats to be recovered.

Overall, the chairs are in excellent condition. It appears as though one leg may have been professionally repaired long ago as there is a very tight check line (see last pic) but the joint is not loose. Another chair's back was professionally repaired, please see the last two pictures.

NO missing parts. A sturdy set, each chair bears the oval metal Baker tag. Extraordinarily comfortable, deeply curved back crests. Parcel gilt detailing on X backs with curvy integrated stiles and saber legs. The quality and finesse are superb.

Please take note of the size: these chairs are more petite in scale than Baker's newer furniture. So rare and beautiful, made in America Thanks for looking!!! See less
