Mid-Century stoneware pottery planter with drainage saucer by Wishon-Harrell. Glazed with swirl abstract design. James Wishon and Jerry Harrell produced many fine ceramics in their southern California studio. This planter appears to never have been used. Signed on the underside. Wishon Harrell. Circa 1970s. Measures: 7.25"diameter x 8"high with saucer.
The planter alone is 7" x 7" x 7"high

Partnered at their first pottery location, named Wishon-Harrell Pottery, in California in 1971; they eventually settled in Muncie, Indiana in the mid-1980's. After Jerry Harrell passed away in the 1990's, the pottery closed. Their excellent pottery has become more and more popular over the intervening years.
