This two panel diptych acrylic painting continues my exploration of the natural world through the prism of color and depth. The Sargasso Sea is in the western region of the Atlantic Ocean bounded by four currents. Known for its clear water and curiously layers of ocean seaweed and beautiful blue water unbounded by any land mass. The sargasso Sea has been written about throughout history as a repository of mystery from including Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.
My expressionist art is similarly unbounded; this work was created using sponges, rollers, palette knife allowing the paint to flow and find its own place on the canvas.
Each of the two panels is 23'w x 59"h or 46"w x 59"h together which is how they are being offered.
