This vintage 5x11 Persian kilim is a Shahsavan rug of rare design—handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960.
Further on the Design:
This design favors rich brown and red in its medallion and geometric patterns, but also employs intriguing accents we seldom see in this provenance. Keen eyes will admire terracotta, green, off-white, and even purple in the many playful colors this tribal rug hosts. This curation is furthermore a rare gallery runner for its provenance with versatile size and vast applications.
