Description: Portraits of George and Martha Washington, based on originals by Gilbert Stuart. Framed Chromolithographic Portraits laid on canvas. Cincinnati, Ohio Engraver Elijah C. Middleton used a unique lithographic method of printing with oil based inks on canvas to produce colorful images of historic figures. These portraits of George and Martha Washington each bear an intact E.C. Middleton 1864 guarantee oil painting on the back of portraits. Prints are in their original gilt frames
Condition Report: Good condition with some wear to prints and hairlines, frames have some chips and cracks but are in good condition.
