Here we have a handsome late Victorian Era chest of drawers. Beautiful spoon carved details and fabulous original hardware. Solid construction, the dovetailed drawers slide properly.
PLEASE NOTE: There are a few light stains inside, mostly in the top drawer. One drawer pull (lower right) is not original and has been replaced. However, the original backplate is present, only the bail has been replaced. The middle drawer has a bit of wood missing (see pic) but the loss is not visible when the drawer is closed. A few spots of old paint splatter here and there. The original locks are present but there is NO key.
I believe this chest is made of walnut, but I'm no wood expert. The top has been painted at some point long ago, it's sort of a dark charcoal and very worn with various scuffs, scrapes, dents & dings, also one short age split. Please examine close up photo. There are holes on the bottom where caster wheels would have been, the wheels are long gone.
A beautiful old chest with charming details and lovely patina, makes for very stylish storage suitable for many different decorating styles... thanks for looking!!!

Various scuffs, scrapes, dents and dings (mostly on the top) as would be expected from age and use. Also, the start of an age split on top, please examine photos. One drawer handle has been replaced. A bit of wood loss on the top of one drawer corne r(see pic) it's not visible when the drawer is shut. NO key and no wheels. Overall very nice solid construction and lovely patina. less
