This striking set of six antique French dining chairs blends Gothic Revival styling with luxurious modern updates. Dating from the early 20th century, each chair features a tall, carved wood back with pierced crest details and stylized vertical slats, all finished in a deep Jacobean brown tone. The solid wood frames rest on turned front legs and distinctive X-form stretchers—refined and architectural.
The seats have been newly reupholstered in rich chocolate brown velvet, adding a soft, elegant contrast to the dark frames. These chairs are sturdy and comfortable, offering timeless drama and formality with a contemporary edge.
One chair had a small crack professionally repaired in the stretcher—fully restored and undetectable. The set is clean, wrapped, and white-glove ready.
