The church has … Read more This painting depicts a countryside scene with a stone chapel located to the right of the image. The church has a pointed bell tower with a coachman at the top representing a rooster acting as a weather vane. To the left we observe a green landscape with hills and mountains in the background. The sky is partly cloudy but still blue. In the foreground, a woman dressed in a traditional dress and a white headdress carries a large bundle of wood on her back while walking on a path. This rectangular painting is framed by an aged wooden frame and is signed lower right. Unfortunately, the signature remains illegible.
