Depicts a court scene from The Tale of Genji. With continuous woven silk border in slender ebonized wood and brass hinged frame, the reverse lined with block-printed paper, later mounted on a wooden cleat across the back for hanging. Measures 47 1/2" x 18" x 3/8" thick. Wear consistent with age; tear upper left. Presents well. See less
