Complementing this domestic scene are multicolored motifs in the rich burgundy border meant to a bride’s hair band(s), representing the desire to marry. This piece is also one of a select number of Turkish antique with mirrored fringes on the upper and lower guard borders, whereas the vertical borders host perfectly mirrored, geometric tribal floral branches.
