Loevsky & Loevsky, also known as L&L WMC, was based in New Jersey during the mid-20th Century. This extraordinary lamp features Baroque inspired stamped patterns throughout the brass-hued metal surfaces. The designer used every element in his bag of tricks to make this lamp sparkle. Filigree covers nearly every bit of the surface except for areas that have a lace-like pattern. Iridescent crystal-like beads are mounted to stamped metal shields. There are two tiers of lights on this lamp- a single, three way light bulb sits atop the lamp and a group of three lightbulbs is hidden within the mid-section. This lower filigree acts as a diffuser for the lights within and the gemstones glow when the lower tier is lit. You have the option of lighting the top and bottom lights together, or isolating each. This lamp has a truly magical presence. The original gathered sheer black fabric shade is included and takes the style to the next level. The lamp features a disc of black Italian Carrara marble at the base (as the original foil label clearly indicates).
