A vintage, weighty and highly sculptural shallow dish made of solid pale blue glass with an applied red-orange spot to the top, decorated ‘a corroso’ – a textured surface created by packing the glass in acid-soaked wood shavings, creating an irregular and tactile pitted surface. It was made on the island of Murano, Italy, in the 1960s, most likely by the furnaces of Galliano Ferro. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
