This painting by Monterey Bay Area artist Rebekah Sisk is ready for you to hang on your wall, sit back and enjoy! It is signed lower left. The painting itself measures 14" x 18"; including the custom gold leaf frame it measures approximately 19 1/2" x 23". A convenient size that will fit a variety of spaces.
Rebekah Sisk was raised on the Monterey Peninsula of California's central coast. Raised on the Monterey Peninsula of California's Central Coast, Rebekah Sisk is an artist who has a passion for wildlife paintings, portraits and impressionist landscapes.
The main body of her work is in oil and pastel. She has exhibited at the Monterey Museum of Art, the Pacific Art League, the Santa Cruz Art League, the Davenport Art Gallery, the New Mexico Art League and the Pacific Grove Art Center. Sisk is listed on AskArt.com..
In November of 2012 her painting, "Sasquatch: The Encounter", was featured on the CBS Sunday Morning News during a piece on Cryptozoology. Her work has been featured in various articles, the most recent being the Bigfoot Field Reporter and collected by such celebrities as Mark Ordesky, executive producer of "The Lord of the Rings" feature film. Her work was also featured in the online E-zine, "Informed Collector" in February of 2013.
She was an artist member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast, the Santa Cruz Art League, the Pacific Art League, the Pacific Grove Art Center and the Tucson Pastel Society. Awards: FASO Boldbrush "Outstanding Pastel" for December 2012.
