Henkel Harris continues to produce some of the finest home furnishings with exquisite attention to detail of timeless antique designs. The partnership began in 1940's between the Henkel family and John Harris. The unlikely trio was rather inexperienced in cabinet making but spent countless hours studying antiques they coveted so highly. They paid particular mind to the way these timeless treasures were crafted and finished and sought out to recreate the quality of Americas golden age of cabinetry. The chairs were made in the Chippendale style with carved ball & claw feet, carved ears, & shell carvings on the crest.

Every chair is nice & tight, and the chairs are in fantastic condition. All but one armchair has additional padding over the original seats and a new tasteful fabric that’s free of any rips or damage. Our father was at the warehouse with us when we photographed these and sat on one for a few hours while my brother and I worked. He said the double padding is quite comfortable and he would leave them as is. We attached a picture peeking under the seats which shows they were originally white and probably had a few stains which is why they were covered. If you wanted to have the seats done over, they can easily be removed from the frame meaning you only have to transport 4 seats to your upholsterer, not 4 chairs. The side chairs measure 25” wide x 24” deep x 40” tall with a 20” seat height. The armchairs measure 28 1/2” wide x 24” deep x 40” tall with a 20” seat height for the double stuffed chair and an 18” seat height on the standard armchair. See less
