Carved from a single piece of grey volcanic schist, in the Khajuraho manner of South India. Measures 33 1/2" x 21 1/2" x 8", on integral plinth.

This wonderful stone statue of three lovely ladies was acquired from the late Alexander Murray (1944 - 2022) the renown psychic medium. Besides being a teacher and psychic, Alex was a professional cellist and a passionate collector of antiques, most especially beautiful Japanese and Chinese kimonos.
The statue was purchased from Alex in 1979 and has been a treasured possession ever since.. See less
