Signed lower right corner. In a gorgeous parcel gilt period frame, which is probably not original. The canvas is approx. 20" wide by 16" high. With the frame it is approx. 29" wide by 25" high. Cornelis Koppenol was born in 1865 in Zoetemeer. A painter and graphic artist known for his figure, genre, still life and landscapes. He studied at the academy of The Hague, among others, under J. P. Koelman and A. van den Berg. He was member of 'Pulchri Studio' in The Hague.He died in 1946 in Den Haag. See less
