This Gorgeous 1970s French Maison Charles Flying Horses of Gansu Bronze & Brass Cocktail Table is unique in design. Beginning with at least a half inch thick square glass table top with chamfered (clipped) corners and elegant beveled edges, it sits atop four Regal Brass Horses, each with a hoof resting on a flying sparrow (an ancient Eastern Han Dynasty symbol). These are all mounted on brass plates atop black lacquered wooden plinths, each connected with two copper (or brass?) stretchers (repainted with a textured gray to protect the integrity of the tubing).
Note: The Table has no markings certifying Maison Charles as the maker, however certain aspects of the design are very congruent with his style.
