These 1940s beautifully weathered teak folding chairs are from my Personal Collection and were obtained from my neighbor whose grandmother bought them in the 40s.
Heavy for their size, dovetail joinery on the sides, and overall excellent craftsmanship. Slats are all nailed in and the backs are Bentwood . Very comfortable and very sturdy . Teak is nearly indestructible, and these chairs should last another almost 100 years. Seats are about 18 in from the ground.
They are in excellent vintage condition, and the only thing that has been done to them is some wood conditioning with teak oil. Some dryness to the wood and age-related damage, all of which is pictured.
