Postcard size circa 1990 watercolor painting by Erik Freyman depicting a rowboat on the Lake in New York's Central Park. Painting size 5 x 7 inches on cardboard. Signed lower right. Excellent condition ex Phyllis Lucas Gallery collection.
Erik Freyman (1932-2018) was a Russian-American artist known for his work that blends various mediums, most commonly Art Deco and Cubism. His work typically explores themes related to perception, reality, and the relationship between the viewer and the artwork. Freyman's artistic style is often described as conceptual, with a focus on creating experiences that challenge the viewer's understanding of space and context. Much of his work, such as this watercolor, depicts scenes in his adopted home of New York City, and his work is very popular among New York collectors.
