Charming earthenware glazed piece … Read more Decorative ceramic pitcher by Robert Perot, founder of the pottery, Vieux Moulin (circa 1960s), Vallauris, France. Charming earthenware glazed piece with abstract motif in the central decorative band. The motif is reminiscent of a Balinese or African garment pattern with a lovely chocolate brown background and oatmeal hued linear shapes. It suggests movement not dissimilar to a Keith Haring piece. This is an authentic, collectible mid-century modern pottery piece and is entirely unique rather than from a run of many. The underside is impressed with, 'Vieux Moulin Vallauris', but less visible is hand inscribed with 'Pièce Unique', or 'one off'. It is in very good overall condition.
