This refined pair of modernist table lamps were handblown in Murano, Italy- the islands off the coast of Venice renowned … Read more This refined pair of modernist table lamps were handblown in Murano, Italy- the islands off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for their superlative glass production. They feature undulating forms in a smokey dove gray with an orbital form at their center, cinched on either end with circular bands replete with an abundance of 24-karat gold flecks. The neck of the lamps is composed of three concentric circles of diminishing diameter- an homage to the skyscraper style motif popular throughout Art Deco design- with a striated spherical embellishment. The brass finial suggests the form of a stylized evergreen cone. With its classical and sculptural form in channelled glass and impeccable craftsmanship, this pair of lamps would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic Deco to contemporary, and would even work well in more traditional settings. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition. They come fitted with new custom shades. Italy, 21st century Dimensions: 35" height x 19" diameter. See less
