Pair of hand painted porcelain finches perched on branches. Both are marked "Made in France" to the underside along with a maker's mark that we have not been able to identify. The estimated date of production is early 20th century. High end details and coloration atop gold rim bases. We have not been able to identify of find a match suggesting a limited production or perhaps one of kind pair. Each figure is approximately 6" tall, 6" wide, and 3" deep.
One of the figurines is in very good condition with no major chips or cracks. The other has been repaired as shown in the photos. Both birds have been glued back in to place, two wings are chipped and one beak is chipped. Both have typical loss of gilding and minor chips to the greenery portion of the flowers. The repaired areas are stable and do not really detract from the beauty of the pair when flowers are facing forward. Please examine all photos closely.
