Beautiful, large oil painting on canvas depicting a still life with a silver-plated wooden frame, dating from around 1970-1980, created by Italian painter Giovanni Zancolò, an artist who is still alive today. The still life depicts a container, a copper oil jug with a brass handle and spout, and a mortar with a brass pestle, both on a cloth. On the back is a drapery, part of a curtain. A painting of excellent artistic quality, the picture is superbly executed; note the beauty of the light reflections on the metal objects. Created in a post-impressionist style, it is slightly inspired, especially in the colors and perspective of the objects, by the style of great artists such as Henri Matisse.

Useful information for evaluating the object:
Through an internet search, we found some online publications about the artist and two surrealist acrylic drawings for which €2,000 is requested for the smaller one and €15,000 for the other, which is very large. This testifies to the fact that Giovanni Zancolò was certainly a painter of some importance.
