My favorite part of this painting, that makes the whole thing sing, is the reflected color of the orange spreading around it. This was painted from direct observation in the studio on prepared (gessoed) paper, then after mounted on board and cut to fit into a custom, maple, contemporary, wood floater frame.
I always analyze my still life after I do them. I initially place the objects intuitively. Then afterwards think about those choices like a reading of where my life is at. This one titled the looming grater, life's problems up against us. The us - is maybe my husband and I, two separate fruits- different in flavors - both bright in different ways.

The Chairish Buyer Guarantee ensures that you have complete peace of mind when

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.
- Please notify us within 24 hours of purchase if you would like to cancel an order, as prompt cancellation will reduce the likelihood that you will incur return shipping charges.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
