A twentieth-century Italian painter, born in Plaisance, Italy in 1901, he died in 1968 in New York. Her parents are Celeste Corbellini and Giuseppina Gazzola. He is the fourth child of a sibling family of twelve. Corbellini, then a teenager, wants to be a painter; from the age of 13 he went to study at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and then at the Accademia Albertina in Turin.
This watercolor captures the timeless charm of a Parisian alleyway, dominated by the majestic Sacré-Cœur in the background. The sepia and blue-gray tones evoke a nostalgic atmosphere, while the fluid brushstrokes add a sense of movement and life. The slightly sloping perspective of the street directs our gaze toward the imposing basilica, reinforcing its iconic presence. The buildings surrounding the scene are depicted with elegant simplicity, their delicate balconies and detailed windows creating a subtle play of shadows. A Parisian café on the right adds an authentic touch, suggesting lively encounters. The artist has mastered the use of light, giving the composition a striking depth. This work is a visual ode to Paris, combining delicate aesthetics and palpable emotion.
