The geometric … Read more A single material used, a splendid Nile green glass cut and bevelled following an essential and functional design. The geometric design cut into a glass block 2 cm thick and 10 cm long is composed of four horizontal lines of the perfect diameter of a cigarette, which join in the circular heart of this sculpture ashtray. The grinding of the cuts made on this vintage ashtray create splendid color variations by reflecting the light, it can dematerialize becoming transparent or accentuate its presence and its shape becoming an intense blue. Made in Italy between the 60s and 70s, this splendid decorative object has no label or signature that could ascertain its origin but the material used and the incredible craftsmanship allow us to attribute its production to the historic Italian manufacturing " Art Fountain". The item has no obvious defects such as breakages or chips, it shows minimal and imperceptible signs of use and aging. See less
