Bright landscape with splendid setting leonid vaichlia (st. Petersburg, 1922 – 2013) pupil of master yuri neprintcev at the academy of fine arts in st. Petersburg. Member of the union of russian artists of st. Petersburg. Since 1951 he has regularly exhibited in the most important exhibitions at home and abroad. Born in 1922, a member of the union of russian artists of st. Petersburg, where he lives and works, vaichlia experiences the traumatic political, social and cultural experiences that quickly transformed his country. Yet his works are documents of an almost timeless world in which the years and progress have not affected a condition of great serenity. A path, that of vaichlia, with a typically figurative approach, in which a profound sense of space emerges, a marked sensitivity to the rural world, a great love for the horse, portrayed in freedom, in the stable or at the manger and, in general, a predilection for atmospheres and environments far from large urban areas. Museums moscow, coll. Ministry of culture moscow, central museum of the soviet army st. Petersburg, museum of history st. Petersburg, museum of the novgorod revolution, rostov museum of fine arts, chadrinsk russian art gallery, museum of fine arts the works of leonid vaichlia are covered in stay by the pirra art gallery and are published in color in monographs edited by the gallery.
