This beautiful antique Sultanabad-Mahal rug displays a gorgeous, all-over vertically-arranged design paired with a muted palette of ivory, light blue, red, and charcoal. The variegated field plays host to a wide variety of decorative palmettes and other flora. The two-tiered inner and outer guards are composed of repeating flower patterns. The main border has an illuminated complementary pattern. The beautiful designs and colors of this antique Sultanabad make it an undoubtedly timeless piece, though there is some distressed wear, as shown in the photos.
