A superb, radical and rigorous dressing table or console with drawer with its stool, its mobile mirror and its integrated lighting, with a minimalist and functionalist design, post-modernist, seventies, pop, space-age, white melamine drawer unit with geometric metal structures with an incredible integrated neo-modernist lamp in rectangular steel with a mirror sliding on its rail (the light backlights the mirror), the set coming with its white lacquered metal stool (in the spirit of saarinen and knoll) and white imitation leather seat, by pierre vandel, france 1970.
made of simple and modest materials, this rare creation recalls the prisunic editions and the functionalist experiments of the 70s. It is characterized by a particularly graphic architectural design, a constructivist structure counterbalanced or balanced by the 2 circles, the mirror and the stool, which are also mobile and therefore modulate and soften the whole.
the sliding mirror is a variation of pierre vandel's famous standing mirror adapted to this dressing table, it is integrated and slides on a rail running along the top of the light fixture, and it is also adjustable on a horizontal axis. This light fixture is exceptional, it is a rectangular wall light of radical design, integrated into the furniture, with an architectural design and perfect finishes, the lighting being diffused by a strip of translucent sandblasted perspex of a quality typical of pierre vandel's light fixtures.
note: a transverse metal "bar" solidifies the building under the drawer, responding at certain angles to the upper horizontal metal strip formed by the light fixture. The whole rests on 4 small cylindrical steel feet which barely raise it and lighten it significantly. The white melamine appears a little yellow in the photos, it is a warm white and reacts strongly to artificial lights, it is a "photographic" effect.

wear, scratches, marks, patina of use on all surfaces.
