Estate pink tourmaline & pink sapphire ring, circa 2010. This estate ring is crafted in 18 karat white gold and features a 3.40 carat cushion scissor mixed cut pink tourmaline in the center that is slightly purplish pink with medium dark tone and with a moderately strong saturation. The tourmaline is eye clean with good brilliance and polish, has very good symmetry, and measures 9.44 x 9.40 x 5.02mm. The pink tourmaline is framed by 35 full cut diamonds at .15 carat total weight having VS1-SI2 clarity, G-I color. The ring is also accented with 65 round pink sapphires at 2.0 carat total weight with fine color of slightly purple strong pink color, medium tone, eye clean to slight clarity characteristics visible, good to very good brilliance, good to fair polish and symmetry. The ring electronically tested at 18 karat gold and has a total weight of 9.7 grams. This ring is a size 6.75 and has a hinged shank to allow it to fit over an oversize or arthritic knuckle. This ring is very well made and finished and is appraised at $3,700.
