Set against a gray-black background, the richness of the burgundy in the medallion figures juxtaposes the bright accenting orange and pink hues in the motifs and border meander with a natural depth and invitation, bringing out the eclectic movement and sense of culture this antique Persian Kilim rug enjoys to no small degree.
