One such masterpiece is this modern rug which draws inspiration from Mamluk designs, which have a rich history to them as well, though admirers of the craft may appreciate a Mogul (or Mughal) sensibility to the design (which has shared elements in these provenances that favor this architectural, elaborate style and dense pattern)—all beautifully adapted to these brighter, more cool modern colors and a more durable hand-knotted wool construction for today’s interiors.
