The central round core supports 12 jutting metal arms encased in transparent colored glass, ending in an adjustable cup enclosing a white glass sphere containing the light source. Designed by De Bona and De Meo, its voice is a naturalistic definition: the natural impulse of spring blooms in an explosion of matter, color, and energy.
In botanical language, the word Stimma refers to the top part of the flowers which has a vital function during pollination. The structure of this light fixture recalls the flower components that expand from a central core into a complexity of forms and functions, and it seeks to be a direct connection with Earth.
