This 9x12 kilim rug from our European selections marks a contemporary take on 18th century Aubusson tapestry flatweaves. Handwoven in fine quality wool, this piece is from the earliest productions of R&K Principal Josh Nazmiyal, newly unveiled for the first time following his deep love for this style.
On the Design:
The piece features a union of medallion style with an all over floral pattern for a grand, classic look inherent to this style. Connoisseurs will admire the play gold, beige-brown, cream and salmon tones that beautifully capture the rich French Neoclassical aesthetic. This is a finely detailed large size piece in pristine condition, well suited for sophisticated projects both underfoot or in wall hanging.
