Direct from France, a fabulous PETITE antique French octagon table, ornately adorned, just like the full-size version, with an impressive silhouette and design.
The solid oak octagon top has a wide carved band and carved beveled edges; below is a wide, carved ogee apron and another band of carved ‘fish scale’ moulding beneath with scalloped carved trim between each leg.

Thick, carved, bulbous “cup and cover” legs, with turned and carved cross stretchers that provide stability and support. Carved block joints reflect carved attention to detail EVERYWHERE. Solid oak, well built by craftsmen of the period, c1900.
In today’s home this table would make a statement in any room, and placement is easy, as it can “float” in the middle of your room because there’s no “backside”.
