Beautiful intricately hand-woven runner made by women from the Chin indigenous group of Myanmar. Beautiful geometric design. The average runner takes anwhere from 30 to 60 hours to weave on a back-strap loom. Runner is made of cotton and is 68" long x 13 1/2" wide.
The Chin are a tribal, mountain dwelling people found in the highlands of north-west Burma. They have a long tradition of weaving magnificent hand woven 100% cotton textiles using the back strap method on a yakan loom.
