Made in Italy by the company between the 70s and 80s, this jar with lid is part of a successful series that included many tableware items in the shape of fruit and vegetables. This series, which recalls the Portuguese production of Bordallo Pinheiro ceramics, was produced by the "Italica ARS", a company founded in the 1920s in the province of Florence and no longer active today. This jar with lid equipped with a teaspoon is all made of handcrafted majolica and can be used as a sugar bowl, as a gravy boat or as a jam holder. The bright green, yellow and brown glazes and its green tomato shape make it irresistible. The total measurements of the item including cap and saucer are: Height 10cm Diameter 11cm The item is in good vintage condition, with no breaks or scratches.
