This set of eight chairs draws clear inspiration from the iconic Superleggera chair designed by Gio Ponti for Cassina in the 1950s. Like Ponti’s masterpiece, these chairs adhere to the principle of using minimal wood to create a lightweight yet structurally sound design. Despite their delicate appearance, they are sturdy and functional.

The set consists of two groups of four chairs, both crafted by Gessef. Upon close inspection, subtle differences become apparent: one group is slightly taller, and the backs feature three horizontal slats that vary slightly in design. However, these differences are nearly imperceptible when the chairs are arranged around a table. Some of the last photos shows 2 chairs in the picture, these a the 2 different 'models'.

Additionally, half of the chairs have seats woven from papercord, while the others use seagrass. Both materials share a similar look and texture, maintaining a cohesive aesthetic across the set.

The chairs have an elegant mid-century, slim design and are very lightweight—you can lift them with one finger. They are solid at the glue points, but not extremely strong. If you lean back or rock on them, you might feel a little movement.

They are in great working condition and ready to use. This is a small and light chair, don't expect a chair don't is rock solid and firm. Is completely fine for everyday use, and can be used as it is.

Also notice a low seatheight. Suitable for lower dining tables or kitchen tables.
