mimmi moretti was born in catania in 1966 and after less than a year she moved with her family to paris. He developed his cultural education in the french capital where he began taking photographs since childhood and, thanks to his uncle, became familiar with the darkroom. At the age of 20 he collaborated as a freelance photographer for some magazines. Towards the end of the 90s he began to experiment with the first solutions offered by digital, a solution he would definitively embrace in 2002.

photography remains his main means of expression through which he experiments and develops new and singular forms of visual communication. His images are often characterized by some key elements such as beauty and geometric rigor. He loves to range between different arts, subjects and themes in the continuous search for unusual and original styles from which the influence of humanistic studies often emerges.
