renzo muratori was born in tortona. Having joined fiat as a mechanical designer, in 1979 he moved to the photographic department, where he worked until his retirement. Since 1983 he has worked as a freelancer for various clients. He combines his professional activity with intense personal research work, as a true amateur photographer, which engages him with great passion in terms of social investigation.

among his best-known works: "proletarian summer", "man\. For the automobile", "new york". He frequented photographic circles in turin, in particular the subalpina photographic society and the fiat photographic group, then directed by rinaldo prieri, whose friendship and expertise would be a continuous stimulus and sure guide for muratori over the years.

in recent years he has naturally approached the photographic club of the famija moncaliereisa, where his human and professional qualities are held in the utmost consideration. For the numerous awards obtained in photographic competitions, he was awarded the title of efiap in 1973.
