A scarce Austrian Secessionist steel screen c. 1900. This decorative folding fire screen has three panels, each one with a hammered inner section, nail head arch motifs and copper relief embellishment. To the bottom of the screen there are stylised grill cut outs. The overall aesthetic is emblematic of the Vienna Secession, the movement formed by a group of artists and architects at the turn of the century in Austria that included Gustav Klimt, Josef Hoffman and Otto Wagner.
