The two extravagant pillar cabinets, made in Vienna around 1905, represent first-class cabinetmaking work from Viennese Modernism and impress with their elegant design and high quality craftsmanship. They are made of oak wood and have an elaborate shellac polish, which gives the cabinets an elegant, deep glossy surface. The decorative elements are characterized by floral motifs, which are expressed both in the carved wooden details and in the artfully crafted and lavish brass ornaments. Cut glasses in the upper sections of the cabinets underline the delicate design of the details.
