Rare Large Swedish Handwoven Röllakan Wool Rug Model "Aspelöv" by Judith Johansson, 1960s.
Rare röllakan rug with beautiful circular pattern in different colours. The model and name of the rug is "Aspelöv", Judith Johansson wove this model only during two years, 1963 and 1964.The Rug is handwoven in a classic röllakan weave which is an ancient weaving technique that origins from the middle east. Märta Måås Fjätterström wove her rugs in the same technique as this. The rug measures 255 cm in length including fringes, and 189 cm wide. The fringes are worn and in some parts there are some missing, please see pictures. This piece has an attribution mark,
