This 4x10 vintage rug is one of a rare set of exceptional works curated by Rug & Kilim—each a unique marriage of mid-century Kilims and pile rugs by a respected Turkish atelier, circa 1970-1980.
On the Design
Beige and brown tones underscore a simplistic sensibility and geometry in this boho chic design. Admirers of the craft will note that the smaller surface piece was most likely a tribal rug, and the presentation of its warm, vibrant colors atop such a soft background enjoys such a fabulous sense of dimensionality and presence. It’s an exemplary choice from this line, each a distinct shabby-chic collectible and a work of art alike—equally suitable to wall-hanging projects as a tapestry as it is to the floor.
Condition
This vintage tribal rug enjoys good condition for its age and condition.
