This incredibly charming and unique set was produced in Murano, Italy during the 1970s. In fabulous condition, with no chips or cracks. The set includes 3 mouth-blown sommerso bowls and a pestle in black bullicante glass with clear bubbles inside. The Sommerso glass is obtained by creating multiple layers of glass, within a single object. This technique gives the illusion of "dipped" glasses that overlap without mixing. The glasses are made of three different layers, a deep glossy black external one, a white glass layer in the middle and a wonderful orange internal layer enhance with gold leaf details. The sinuous lines of these mouth-blown glasses and the outstanding quality make them extremely charming and unique. The rounded edges together with the "sommerso" technique allow a spectacular light reflection. A fantastic and unique decorative set, perfect to complement a Mid-Century Modern project.
