He was with no doubt one of the protagonist of the Italian Design, and he becomes so, following the meeting with two exceptional personalities in the Italian artistic field: Lucio Fontana and the legendary Venetian art gallery owner Carlo Cardazzo. Urano Palma specially worked to the sculptured furniture, inventing a casting technique to obtain the perforated solid metal. The same shape was applied to the wood and so the result was a series of wooden artwork. Urano Palma was born in Varese, Italy in 1936. He lived in Milano where he known the Italian Art Avangarde and Lucio Fontana who influenced his work. In 50 years he exhibited in numerous countries such as Germany, France, United States and in Corea where he exhibited one of his bronze artwork for the Olimpic Games in Seoul.
